Safeguarding
Guidellor works with school-age students and expects every interaction to be professional, transparent and focused on the student's educational interests.
Effective: 22 July 2026
Family visibility
Parents or guardians should remain appropriately involved when a student is below the age of legal consent, especially for paid services, document sharing, meetings, account access and material application decisions. We encourage families to use shared or visible communication channels where appropriate.
Professional communication
- Communication should stay relevant to education, applications and agreed support.
- Students should not send passwords, payment-card details, identity-document images or unrelated sensitive information through WhatsApp, email or website forms.
- A counselor should not pressure a student to hide communications, payments or application decisions from a parent or guardian.
- Guidance should respect the student's voice, culture, privacy, safety and right to make informed choices.
Applications and student voice
Guidellor may advise, review and help organize an application, but the student must understand and approve what is submitted in their name. We do not support fabricated achievements, false documents, impersonation or undisclosed ghostwriting.
Calls and meetings
Students and families may ask who will attend a call, what it will cover and how notes or recordings are handled. A parent or guardian may request to join a meeting involving a minor. No meeting should be recorded without appropriate notice and consent.
Raise a concern
If a Guidellor interaction made you or a student feel unsafe, pressured or uncomfortable, stop the interaction and email connect@guidellor.com with “Safeguarding concern” in the subject. Include only the information necessary to explain what happened. We will review the concern, preserve confidentiality as far as reasonably possible, and take appropriate action.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how student and family information is handled. Information about a safeguarding concern may be shared where necessary to protect a person, investigate the concern or comply with law.
